I have been asked to be a hostess at my friends wedding and did not know what it was. I said yes but i just looked it up and it sounds like i am working for free and not there to enjoy the wedding. I might as well charge her to be a wedding planner, isn’t that what they are for anyway. A hostess is just there because you can’t afford a wedding planner? Please enlighten me.

My aunt was the hostess at my wedding. She offered to do it. She (and her daughter) set up the centerpieces at the reception venue on the morning of the wedding and then at the reception, she told tables when to go through the buffet. That’s it. She didn’t spend on evening doting on me or working.

Flowers are a very costly expense at weddings. I am on a budget and therefore looking to create the bouquets and centerpieces myself. I am looking for an online wholesale florist who will provide good quality flowers that are delivered on time. I have researched some online wholesale florists but many of the reviews I have read state that the flowers are of poor quality or do not show on time. Has anyone had a really good experience with an online wholesale florist? The flowers must be real. No silk flower websites please. Thanks.

I know this is a strange request. I am getting married in Aug and need some ideas with decorations. I have all the other details done but now I need to worry about this. I am NOT creative at all. I have looked all over the internet and all the bridal magazines and just want to see real weddings that happened on REAL budgets. Thank you so much!!!

I got married last September and went with a burnt orange/sage green color scheme with an outdoors-y, untamed forest feel (which is why my centerpieces are a bit overgrown). You can see pics here:
