Wedding budget…….?
Writing a book. One of the characters has to plan a wedding in a month. It’s going to be at the person’s house. What would be an appropriate budget?
That really depends on your characters and plot lines.
Is the bride/planner thrifty? Would she shop at discount stores, thrift stores, mall stores, or really high-end stores? Does she like simple things or extravagant things? Will the wedding be a quiet affair with a handful of family and friends, or is half the town invited?
A wedding budget can be any amount of money; the amount of money spent on a wedding depends on the people getting married and/or hosting the wedding – their viewpoints and their circumstances. Therefore, the budget you’ll need for the wedding in your book will depend on your characters – their viewpoints and circumstances.
Helpful hint: Think of what elements the wedding in your book will have, and research average prices for those elements in the city or general geographic region in which that part of your story is set. Prices for the same items or services vary widely according to region.
i am planning to have my wedding in summer. My wedding budget is US 10,000 with a guest list of 75 people.?
How can i plan my wedding within this budget? Please advise
What would suggest to me in order to organise my wedding?
You CAN do this trust me. Our budget was 10,000 with a guest list of 300 and 250 showed up. So believe me you can do it and my wedding was very elegant. Here are some great tips. Can you do your own flowers? My mom made all of our flowers we just picked them out and she arranged them. My sister-in-law made our cake. The only decoration in the church was bows for the reserved seating, three large flower arrangements, and ivy hung at the back of the church around candles (we didn’t light them) We were members of the church. We had friends do the directing, organ, and video so that saved some money. We had a buffet not a sit down meal. We knew our DJ.
The best tip: get people you know to help out. For 75 people that won’t be too hard. Our caterer was 11.00 / plate. So that is about 825 plus tax and anything else you need to add. If you get your caterer to do the cake that cuts down so you don’t have the delivery cost on the cake. I could go on and on for hours at a time on the wedding planning and tips. Need to plan a wedding on a budget?
I just got engaged 2 weeks ago. My fiance and i have a house and daughter and plan to get married in August this year. I need any tips on planning a wedding on a budget. Very small budget!!! Please help. I live in Rhode Island! Thanks!!!!
Weddings are expensive if you want them to be. But if you want to keep money aside for a deposit on a house or a honeymoon to remember, then there are many cost cutting ideas. All you need is a little imagination, and some help from friends and family and you too can have a luxury wedding with all the trimmings.
I feel so overwhelmed with my wedding planning?
I have only been engaged for a couple of days and I am already totally overwhelmed. No one is putting any pressure on my I am totally doing it myself. My problem is that I have no idea how to plan a wedding and I have a very small budget. I want to it to be beautiful and unique, but I don’t know how to make this happen. There is no way that I could afford a wedding planner.
Go to www.weddingchannel.com and click on some of the items in the left side bar. I used this site and set up a web page, and kept track of everything here. It has a budget manager, a guest list tracker, I was even able to choose who sat at which table. There is also a lot of information on this site that may help you. Remember, you can search the web for just about anything now days. I hope this website helps you as much as it did me. I’ve also seen a lot of people telling others about www.theknot.com, but I’ve never used that site. Relax, sweetie, everything will turn out great. Be sure to check out the planning checklist. It tells you what you need to do by when. Good luck!
Wedding Planning Help!
I recently got engaged two weeks ago and we are super excited! However, I began planning a week ago and I’m already stressed out! We’ve decided on May 23, 2009. That gives us 10 months to plan the wedding. I’m confident that I can do it without a planner. A planner in my area costs almost $7,000. We have a wedding budget of 12,000. I love www.theknot.com.
Is there any advice you can give me? Looking back on your wedding what would you do differnt
What a wonderful wedding day! I am also tying the knot that day! We found that in Florida the end of May was very affordable! My best advice to you so far is : #1- Note that is is Memorial Day weekend in 2009 and send out save the dates.( save costs by making them on your computer-it’s really easy and cheap!)
#2- Don’t be afraid to bargain with your vendors- photographers/djs if their packages aren’t giving you what you want- most of the time they will be happy to accomodate you to get your business
#3- DIY, DIY , DIY-recruiting family and friends for hands on tasks like makign favors, centerpieces, program making etc can change from monotonous tasks to fun filled times full of memories leading up to the big day!
Congrats and Best of Luck!
